According to the Examiner.com, “Survivor” host Jeff Probst reveals some challenges contestants will encounter this season on a TV Guide sneak peek.
TV Guide’s previews reveal “Survivor” contestants will be challenged by some venomous creepy crawlies in Nicaragua. The contestants will have to watch their footing as the show’s medical director says the area has a lot of very dangerous snakes.
Dr. Ramona Salins says the medical team will be prepping the crew and contestants on how to deal with snake bites, scorpion bites, and various other insect bites and has anti venom on hand in case of an emergency.
Avoiding insect bites isn’t the only perilous challenge contestants will face. This season’s extra challenge brings a whole new twist to the competition. “Survivor” contestants won’t just be voted off the show, but will be sent to “Redemption Island” where they’ll have to duel another eliminated contestant in the hopes of winning their way back onto the show.
“Survivor” is also bringing back a past controversial challenge. Immunity idols will be back this season. Contestants will have to test their wits to solve clues leading them to the hidden idols.
The show’s 22nd season mixes new twists with old elements of the show, which include the contestants. This season’s 16 new contestants will be joined by “Survivor’s” veteran rivals Russel Hantz and Boston Rob for what looks like an interesting season.
