According to Us Magazine, “Real Housewives of New York City’s” newest “housewife” Cindy Barshop says the show is a real-life version of “Survivor.”
Cindy Barshop tells Women’s Wear Daily, “No one gave me a handbook on how to be a housewife or who to interact with or how to be with them…It was like being on ‘Survivor .’”
Us Magazine reports, the new “Real Housewife” was thrown in with seasoned cast members for the upcoming fourth season of the show.
Cindy, owner of Completely Bare salons and single mother of one-year-old twins, tells the magazine it took some time to get used to being on the show.
Cindy reveals, much like “Survivor” contestants, she had to come up with a strategy for the show.
“I had to work at making myself relevant…showing my qualities and showing them right away,” Cindy tells Us Magazine. “This is not a place where you slowly learn about somebody or they slowly learn about you. And there is an etiquette.”
While the 46-year-old mom made sure to introduce herself the right way, she didn’t stray from conflict, holding her own when she needed to.
Cindy’s brother, Howie Barshop, tells Us Magazine about his sister’s strong personality: “She is very kind, but let me tell you, she is a very sharp lady. When she has to be aggressive [on the show], she has been.”
Howie says his sister got aggressive when she had to.
Looks like Cindy will fit right in with Bravo’s seasoned New York housewives.
“The Real Housewives of New York City” returns to Bravo Feb. 15 at 10/9c.
