American Idol: 10th Anniversary Compilation Album Due Out Next Month

That’s right fans of American Idol on FOX, next month for the first time ever in American Idol history we will see a 10th anniversary compilation album released. The album will feature hits from the biggest and best contestants over the past 9 seasons. So who will be on the album and when can you expect it in stores? Keep reading for all the details!


If you’ve watched the past 9 seasons of American Idol, chances are you will love this album and know all of these artists. In honor of the show’s 10th season, they will be releasing “American Idol 10th Anniversary – The Hits” on March 15, 2011. So what can we expect from this album? We’ll hear hits from the most successful contestants including Kelly Clarkson and her #1 Billboard Pop 100 hit “Since U Been Gone,” Carrie Underwood’s Grammy award-winning “Before He Cheats” and our favorite rocker and band Daughtry’s #1 ballad “Home.” which was played on the show for some time.

Some of the other tracks and artists include season 6 winner Jordin Sparks’ duet with R&B’s Chris Brown on “No Air,” rocker David Cook’s platinum single “Light On” and Fantasia’s #1 Hot R&B/Hip Hop song “When I See U.” The compilation also includes Ruben Studdard’s single “Superstar,” Taylor Hicks’ performance of “Takin’ It To The Streets” and Broadway star Clay Aiken’s 2003 hit “Invisible.” Of course, you didn’t the album would be complete without Adam Lambert did you? No worries as Adam Lambert is included with his Grammy-nominated “Whataya Want From Me” and our current American Idol champion Lee DeWyze closes out the album with his single “Sweet Serendipity.”
