With all the buzz about Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez going around these days, it’s easy to forget how quickly the judges of American Idol on FOX can come and go, as we saw last season when Ellen DeGeneres joined the judging panel and left after only one season. In a recent interview Ellen shares why she is glad she is no longer a judge on the hit series. Keep reading for more details!
As she sits back and now watches the new judges, American Idol season nine judge Ellen DeGeneres recently admitted that she is glad that she is no longer on the judging panel of the hit show. The chat show host and comedienne revealed that she could not stand dishing out negative feedback to all the audition hopefuls.
Ellen DeGeneres reportedly told The Sun “It’s so hard to tell people they aren’t good.” and “Every time I tried to think of some funny way to say it. I don’t have any of that pressure any more.” Despite the fact that she seemed to enjoy her gig while she was there, Ellen goes on to say that she had to quit telling hopefuls it “didn’t feel like the right fit”. Maybe that explains her short stint on the show? What did you think of Ellen’s time on American Idol – did you love her or hate her? Comment and share your thoughts with us, we’d love to hear from you!
Be sure to tune into the final round of auditions this Wednesday at 8 pm EST on FOX!
