Melissa also mentions to Joan that she will need a car in LA.
For dinner, Joan has the whole family sit down to eat but it’s again take-out food. The conversation quickly moves to the Rivers family’s “curse” about not being able to cook. Melissa starts to think that maybe it’s time to learn how to really cook for her family.
The next day, Joan decides to go car shopping and takes Cooper and Melissa’s boyfriend Jason with her. Meanwhile, Melissa is serious about learning how to cook, deciding to break the Rivers family “curse” and she secretly hires a celebrity chef to show her what to do. Back on the car lot, Joan finds a red Mini-Cooper she really likes and buys it.
