Episode six saw The Bachelor, Brad Womack, and the eight remaining ladies head to the tropical jungles of Costa Rica. The heat was definitely on, as Brad withheld not one, but two roses on his dates. Host Chris Harrison gave his two cents on the episode in his blog. Keep reading for highlights…
In Chris Harrison’s Entertainment Weekly blog this week, he begins by noting how excited the ladies were to be heading to Costa Rica. He noted that the Springs Resort they stayed at was at the foot of an active volcano that actually erupted a few times while they were there!
Chris talked about how the first date card, which was for Chantal, sent the girls into a tailspin, particularly since Britt and Alli hadn’t had a one-on-one date yet. Chantal and Brad shared a fantastic zipline date regardless of the rain, and Chris teased, “Chantal’s connection with Brad really leaped forward and she became the first of the women to tell Brad that she loves him. Notice I said the first…”
On the much talked about issue of Michelle, Chris observed, “Up to this point she has been very careful about how she’s been playing Brad, but this week he started to see through that. For the first time, Brad seemed less intrigued and turned on by her and more confused and even a little frustrated.”
Chris noted that the women who went home this week, Alli and Jackie, both fell into basically the same category – friends. He also blogged about Brad himself, saying, “The further this goes and the more serious it gets, the more you can see the changes in Brad. The way he called Michelle on her B.S. or the conversation with Emily is a good example of how he now confronts situations head on. This is a much improved man with a clear vision of what he now wants and it was good to see this side of him because it gets much, much tougher from here on out.”
For next week, Chris previews that it is a ‘pivotal’ episode with things coming to a head with several women.
