Tonight is the last night of auditions on American Idol on FOX which takes us to San Francisco. Last week we saw some of the worst auditions ever in LA, so would this week prove to better? According to FOX news, the judges had some good things to say but we may also see our share of crazy auditions as well. Keep reading for more details!
As American Idol heads to San Francisco tonight, FOX news had a chance to catch up with some of the hopefuls as well as some of the judges. In a video clip of their interview, Steven Tyler said “San Francisco is incredible, yesterday was at least eight people, I’m saying hopefully today will put it-bring it to twenty.” Randy Jackson added “The young talent this season, man, I’m telling you. I know we only lowered the age one year but, dude, they are just showing and proving man, I can’t believe it all.” I wonder if that means we will some younger talent tonight?
FOX news also had the chance to interview some of the American Idol hopefuls including one young man who had way too much makeup on his face and was accompanied by not only his manager but his nutritionist. Joshua told reporters “I figured I was coming out to, you know, American Idol got to live it up right so I brought my manager with me.” while his manager adds “That’s me. Dopeboy’s management, Edward Hughs, you need anything holler at me. I will hook it up.” and then he turns to point out Joshua’s nutritionist. Very odd, with any luck they will air that tonight for all the viewers.
We’ll see some crazy costumes as well – from a woman with silver face paint who calls herself “Lady Silver” to a man (at least I think it was) dressed up in a car costume……that is if they decide to air those that the news channel showed. Lady Silver was more than happy to speak to reporters and said “You’re not missing anything, you got me all, I’m lady silver, I work down on Pier 39.” They also caught up with a few “normal” contestants such as Gabrielle, who tells them “I feel like I’m ready for it now. You know, it wouldn’t have been good if I’d come three years ago I would have just probably been resentful towards the process now I kind of feel like I’m paying my dues.”
Be sure to tune in tonight for this final round of auditions at 8 pm EST on FOX!
