Worst Cooks In America: Ty Miller Says He May Be On The Next Food Network Star

February 09, 2011 08:00 AM by Lisa Princ

Fans of the blue team on Worst Cooks in America on Food Network watched as resident funny man Ty Miller was the next victim of Chef Robert Irvine’s chopping block as he was eliminated this week. In his exit interview, Ty says we may see him again on The Next Food Network Star. Keep reading to hear what else Ty had to say!

Worst Cooks in America blue team member Ty Miller kept us laughing with his antics on the show, but he could not keep up in the kitchen and was let go this week just as the teams headed into the finals. After his elimination, Ty told The FN Dish that he may be The Next Food Network Star as the confident home cook said “I will continue to cook and get better and better. You may see me on The Next Food Network Star soon.”

Ty Miller, who says he came to the show for help because no one in his family would eat his cooking, has been continuing to cook and learn at home as he goes on to add “When I got home, I made fried fish and potatoes with steamed broccoli. My whole family actually ate it! Priceless.” Despite his elimination, Ty says he would not have changed a thing and he felt confident in his last dish because he would have never attempted to make that at home prior to the show. For the full interview, be sure to check out Ty Miller exit interview.

When I was on Worst Cooks in America, the most rewarding part was coming home and cooking for your friends and family. But what I don’t understand is why this seems to be the only reason most of the contestants want to be on the show. I wanted it for a career, for myself and if I won I would’ve went straight to culinary school. My reasons for being on the show never fully aired. I wanted to be on the show the second my dad showed me the audition, not just because I was a “bad cook” but I had been trying for years to go to culinary school. The money would’ve been nice but what I learned makes me feel like a winner, and no one can take that from me. I haven’t given up and I hope that everyone since Worst Cooks becomes a better cook.
