Dancing with the Stars: alum Audrina Patridge is gearing up for the premiere of “Audrina” her new reality series set to air on VH1. Audrina spoke with Reality TV Magazine’s Veronica Dudo exclusively in Atlantic City about the details! The new reality show, follows Audrina as she pursues her dream of becoming an actress in addition to juggling her modeling career as the Bongo Girl, making appearances and life with her family. The former MTV “The Hills” star spent the weekend at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City where she hosted a party at The Pool After Dark and filled us in on her upcoming projects.
Welcome back to Atlantic City! Have you been able to enjoy the resort?
We got here earlier and my room is beautiful and this is one of my favorite hotels so when I found out I was coming back I was like, ‘Oh, we’re going to have fun!’ My boyfriend [Corey Bohan] flew out from Australia all the way here, my brother’s here and his girlfriend.
Your new reality show “Audrina” is scheduled to premiere in April on VH1 what can fans expect to see?
Well, we’ve been filming for about a month now, I was actually in New York all week and we were filming there-I walked in the fashion shows we filmed behind-the-scenes. It’s really about taking my fans on the journey with me and showing them everything– like the not so glamorous side of Hollywood and the glamorous side of my family life and what I’m personally going through and just really showing them the real side of me that they necessarily didn’t get to see on “The Hills.”
You’re the Bongo Girl, how’s that going?
I’m still the Bongo Girl, we just shot the spring and summer campaign so that was a lot of fun which is awesome because it’s such an American iconic brand and it’s an honor.
What are your future career goals?
Well, I moved to LA to be an actress and I’m still going to auditions but now I feel like the reality is going in a whole different path and I’m still continuing to go to auditions, I still want to be an actress so I’m, still doing that and maybe some hosting-I’m just kind of just trudging and whatever life takes me to, I’m just kind of seeing what happens.
Did “The Hills” help you get closer to your dream?
When I was on “The Hills” I had no idea that it was going to go for five or six years, I thought oh it would be a good experience to see what it’s like to be in front of the camera and film and how it works and I was like it will probably last for two months. Six years later, you know so I’m really comfortable in front of the camera, where in the beginning I hated it; you had to get use to opening up and being on a reality show.
What was your experience like on Dancing with the Stars?
Dancing with the Stars-that was a live show, so that was a little more nerve-raking then reality TV (laughs) there’s no editing involved in Dancing with the Stars at all. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
Do you have any other upcoming projects?
Right now I’m just focusing on filming my new show, there’s a lot going on, lots of traveling and lots of new fun things and surprises. On April 17, it premieres I’m excited!
