Last night we watched American Idol‘s most heart wrenching story made it one step closer to a happy ending as hopeful Chris Medina made it through the group round in Hollywood week. Now TMZ.com is reporting that Chris Medina is currently receiving donations to help him care for his paralyzed fiancee who was the victim of a tragic accident. TMZ says they have learned that donations began pouring in for Chris and Julianna after Chris revealed on the show all the financial troubles the couple is suffering due to her medical bills.
Chris apparently has received more than $27k in donations, but not all of that is cash. TMZ.com states “a local air conditioning and heating company donated a $4,000 furnace to Medina after hearing his heater was on the fritz. The company – King Heating and A/C – even installed it free of charge.” So how does Chris Medina feel about all this? Chris, humbled by this is pretty excited at the same time and has promised the heating company a performance at their store whenever his American Idol schedule allows.
