February 24, 2011 09:30 AM by Lisa Princ

Worst Cooks in America on Food Network‘s season two came to close Sunday as Joshie Berger was able to impress the culinary experts and walk away with the win over fellow competitor, Georg. In a post season interview, Joshie shares how he did not think he would win. Keep reading for more details!

Worst Cooks In America’s season two recruit Joshie Berger was crowned the winner on Sunday after overcoming numerous obstacles to get him to that point. In a post season interview with the FN Dish, Joshie shares how he did not think he would win as he says “I was very nervous presenting my final dessert to the judges. Looking over at Georg’s dish, which looked really pretty, I thought I was in big trouble.” Anne Burrell, he claims played a big part in motivating him the entire time by telling him that “he had it in the bag” and encouraging him that he was going to win.

Joshie Berger says he was never interested in it for the money either as he advises future contestants “Don’t think about the money. I never did for a second, even in the final challenge. This experience, if you allow it to, will change your life for the better. Embrace it, enjoy it and make the most of it. Sure, it’s a competition and we are naturally inclined to want to win, but if you approach it as a learning experience and a great opportunity, I believe you will be rewarded in more ways than money.” And Joshie was rewarded as he now enjoys cooking at home for his family and friends. Congratulations again Joshie, it was well deserved!
