The web has been buzzing lately about whether or not American Idol on FOX alumni, David Archuleta was dropped by his record label or not. Despite Jive’s claims that they dropped David for lack of sales, David says the record company made him offers to stay. Keep reading to hear what else David Archuleta had to say about the split!
American Idol‘s season seven alumni David Archuleta is now speaking out about his split with record label, Jive. David tweeted saying “Decisions. They are scary things before knowing what could happen after you make them, but I’m excited for what the future holds.” and then later posted a YouTube video where he said “It just felt like the right time to part ways” in regards to Jive records. David went on later to say that he received “offers that I continue working with them, but it just didn’t feel like the right thing. I loved working with them, they’ve been so great, you know, the people there are just awesome … I’ve learned a lot from them.”
But apparently that is not the only split for David Archuleta, who is also said to have split with his management team and of that David had this to say “I realized that this is not where I need to be right now. Not like they were doing anything bad or anything wrong, you know, they’ve been great.” David assures his fans however, that he still writing and doing solo work until he figures out what direction he needs to go in. Sounds to me like David is just realizing that he controls his own life and he needs to take charge which is exactly what he should be doing, so kudos to David Archuleta.
