Worst Cooks in America on Food Network‘s season two came to close Sunday when Joshie Berger and Georg Coleman battled it out to impress the culinary experts. Unfortunately for Georg though her hard work was not enough and Joshie got to walk away with the win. In a post season interview, Georg shares how she took so much more away from her experience than she thought she would. Keep reading for more details!
Despite the fact that she did not take away the win on Worst Cooks In America, Georg Coleman had nothing but great things to say about the show, her experience and the chefs. In a post season interview, Georg says that she has made so many close friends and she adds “I took away so much more from this experience than I ever bargained for. I went into the show thinking that I would learn some great cooking skills from the top chefs on the Food Network, that I would have at least a few days in NYC, and that I would possibly meet some cool people. What I came away with was a new perspective on cooking, my family and life overall. I walked away from WCIA a transformed person in many ways.”
Georg Coleman, who is enjoying cooking at home now also boasts that she loves to go into the kitchen stores now as she can now identify all the cookware and tools with ease. So what did Georg learn the most from Robert Irvine? She goes on to tell FN Dish “One of the most important pieces of advice he gave was how to keep my fingers out of the way when cutting, chopping and preparing foods to cook. I am still not the greatest at this… but have a lot more awareness. A second tidbit of information that was emphasized and reemphasized during the show was ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’ regarding keeping our stations clean. However, the most valuable tip I personally received from Chef Robert was to cook with confidence… no matter how it all turns out!”
Kudos to Georg for making it to the finale, it’s just a shame you both couldn’t win!
