Last week we learned that American Idol on FOX hopeful Casey Abrams was hospitalized for severe stomach pains and his return to the show was questionable. Since then we have learned that Casey Abrams did in fact make the top 24 and sources now say that we will see him perform on Tuesday when the top 12 guys take the stage. Keep reading for more details!
American Idol contestant Casey Abrams may not have had his best performance with his Beatles tune, but he did enough to get the judges to vote him into the top 24. Last Thursday, before we even knew his fate, we learned that the 19 year old fan of the stand up bass was hospitalized after complaining of severe stomach pains while on the show’s set. PEOPLE.com is now reporting that Casey is out of the hospital and ready to perform as part of the top 12 guys. A source told the magazine that “He is performing tonight. He had some stomach pains but he will perform.”
While we do not know the exact cause or extent of Casey Abrams’ illness, it was reported last week that if Casey Abrams was not well enough to perform on Friday as part of the top 12 guys episode, he was risking elimination from the competition altogether. My guess is that whatever was ailing Casey could not have been to serious if he was able to perform last night. We look forward to seeing his performance on Tuesday and having Casey as part of the top 24!
