American Idol season six top 24 contestant, Sanjaya Malakar, who was better known for his crazy hair and silly antics on the show than for his talent had no issues sharing his thoughts on Jennifer Lopez recently. In an interview with Popeater, Sanjaya Malakar had nothing but sympathy for Jennifer Lopez as she had to cut Chris Medina as he says “”I can’t imagine how hard it must be. You see them, and you’re paying attention to them and their story and how they’re progressing each week. I’m sure it’s really hard to cut someone that you like. Especially someone with a story like that.”
While Sanjaya goes on to explain that Jennifer was one of his mentors during his run on American Idol and that he feels this shows such an honest perspective of her, he also thinks the judges want to get emotion out of the viewers. He adds “For one, they definitely are looking for that shock value. They wanna say the thing that will make you cry to try and get that reaction. But for me it was more about, what are they saying that will help me get better.” For the entire interview with Sanjaya Malakar, be sure to check out Sanjaya dishes on Jennifer Lopez.
