The Amazing Race Preview: Teams Race In Their Underwear

March 03, 2011 11:30 AM by Allyson Wells

Phil Keoghan promised that the Unfinished Business season of The Amazing Race would be tougher than any other season.  After the teams had to pull off a double leg in kangaroo suits, this week they are off to Japan to slip, slide and shoot bulls-eyes.

The CBS preview reveals that ancient cultures will collide with the modern world while racing around Japan.  The challenges involves ancient customs as some teams are under a waterfall and others are in a mud pit.  Mud wrestling?  While getting down and dirty, both the mud and water are both freezing.  As if the frigid temperatures weren’t enough, the racers are seen racing in their underwear.  The cowboys are running cross country in their boxer briefs, as Jen and Kisha remark, “I don’t do bikinis.”  Apparently they do, as they are seen running in what looks like a handmade bikini.

Another challenge looks like an archery challenge, as the preview shows Ron dressed up and making strange noises as he shoots. Ron will have to stay on target if he and Christina stand any sort of chance to pull out of last place.  Ron and Christina would have likely been eliminated if Kris and Amanda were not forced to do the double U-Turn.

Finally, Jaime and Cara’s hopes might be shattered after they are involved in a car crash, putting them near the back of the pack.  Can they catch back up after an unfortunate twist of fate?  Tune in on Sunday to The Amazing Race to see which teams make it across the finish line.
