For those of you who watched with a broken heart as Arthur Wornum, the unhealthiest contestant in the show’s history was sent home on The Biggest Loser on NBC, you will be thrilled to know that Arthur is keeping up his healthy lifestyle at home. In fact, Arthur is now motivating and inspiring others to get healthy and active! Keep reading for all the details!
The Biggest Loser’s saddest elimination to date is nothing shy of a happy ending as Arthur Wornum is continuing his journey to a healthier self as well as motivating others and inspiring with his story. On Saturday, Arthur showed up at the “Walk with Jesse” walk which was organized by the Washougal nonprofit organization Fat 2 Fit for Arthur’s father, Jesse who was also eliminated from the show. This was Arthur’s first public appearance since being eliminated from the show and he says he wants to motivate others and “I want to get America moving. It starts with you. It starts one step at a time. We have to start moving as a country. If I get at least one person to start moving, I’ve hit my goal.”
As the crowd cheered him on when he said he was going to win the at home prize, one viewer inspired by Arthur drove from Forest Grove, Oregon to meet Arthur and walk with him. 26 year old Michelle Honeman who has lost 70 lbs on her own attended the open casting call last week in Portland and is submitting a video application for consideration. Michelle was inspired by Arthur Wornum as she said “It pumped me up. I looked at him and said, ‘If he can do this, so can I.’” Good luck Michelle, hopefully we will be watching you next season – and kudos to Arthur for continuing to inspire and motivate others, you are a real inspiration to everyone!
