With the six-figure salaries some reality TV stars bring in, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out why they would allow cameras to film their every move– even at the risk of making complete fools of themselves. But for The Real Housewives of Miami’s Adriana De Moura, the Bravo reality show wasn’t her first attempt at getting into television. And the art dealer reveals that her friend and fellow Housewife, Lea Black, was also a part of her reality TV plans.
“I was trying to produce my own show here in Miami, but I didn’t understand what it took for it to be successful,” Adriana De Moura tells Niteside. “And then I was in talks with my friend Lea Black and then Bravo came into town and started casting and it all just kind of happened from there.”
“Like most first seasons, the women aren’t as cutthroat,” says the Brazilian art dealer. “There isn’t to much jealousy, cattiness or drama. There will be some, but no pulling off wigs or table throwing.”
Hmmm… She does know that the jealousy, cattiness, and drama is what brings in the ratings, right?!
Adriana De Moura says that she, Lea Black, and the rest of the Miami Housewives hope to represent their city well, and she’s glad that Bravo decided to highlight the vibrant location.
“I think it’s great. People think living here can be a superficial life, but we put Miami in a great light. We show the inside of living here–it’s fun, sophisticated, and never boring.”
