Survivor: Redemption Island — An Unexpected Bond

March 20, 2011 01:00 PM by Ryan Haidet

Matt Elrod is on a roll.  Although he was the second person voted off Survivor: Redemption Island, Matt is still alive in the game after winning three duels in a row.  Krista Klumpp joins Matt on Redemption Island during this Wednesday night’s episode where the pair form an unexpected bond forms.  What else can we expect from this week’s episode?  Read on for the full tease!

A press release from CBS says the “unexpected bond” between Matt and Krista is the result of a luxury item they receive on Redemption Island.  Based on Matt’s openly strong faith, my guess is they bond over a Bible.

As far as the duel is concerned, the battle involves a challenge we have seen many times throughout previous seasons of Survivor.  Matt and Krista will operate a tilting maze in which they have to lead a ball to a hole at the end.  Can Matt win for the fourth time in a row?

This episode also seems heavily structured around Phillip’s crazy story once again as the episode has been titled “Their Red-Headed Stepchild.”  These are Phillip’s words, which were featured during the tease after last week when addressing his status in the Ometepe tribe.  The promo also showed Phillip becoming very frustrated with Natalie and Ashley for being lazy around camp.

In addition to all that, the CBS press release also says, “Loyalty of an alliance versus competitive strength of a tribe has the castaways questioning their strategy in the game.”  It also says, “One castaway digs deep to find a way to weaken the strength of a powerful alliance.”

Survivor: Redemption Island continues this Wednesday night on CBS at 8 p.m.
