Shedding For The Wedding: currently airs on The CW, Wednesday evenings and is a reality competition that chronicles the weight-loss journey of nine couples. Have you ever exercised at the gym then gone home to relax and felt you could eat a little bit more since you got a work out in? Well, according to the show’s trainer–that’s NOT the best idea! Read Nicky’s blog below to find out how you can get the most from your work out.
Become more active to optimize weight lose! When working out hard in the gym there is a tendency to get home afterwards and just crash, sleep, relax on the couch and watch TV knowing you did a great thing for your body!
You MUST avoid this at all cost! It is what we call stealing from Peter to pay Paul! If you work out harder than before at the gym but as a result become less active in the day, you will end up burning relatively the same amount of calories in the long run. So after that
hard workout decide to walk to work, eat smaller healthy food portions, jog around the block a couple of times after work. Try to make the beginning of a new workout the beginning of a new more active you, ready to take on the world and RELEASE YOUR INNER ATHLETE!!
