The Biggest Loser: Teams Again And The Return Of An Eliminated Player!

March 22, 2011 07:35 PM by Lisa Princ

Tonight on a brand new episode of The Biggest Loser on NBC we will see the players split up into teams again just one week after they united. We will also see one player to return to the ranch who was previously eliminated as well as another player who throws the weight in only to have it backfire. Keep reading for all the details on tonight’s explosive episode!

The Biggest Loser kicks off tonight as Ali Sweeney announces that the players will be split up once again, but this time into four groups – one for each trainer. The players one by one choose a dumbbell with a color on the bottom of it signifying a trainer. Ken, Austin and Kaylee all chose green to make up Cara’s team while Jen, Justin and Courtney all chose red which meant they would be teaming up with Brett. Moses, Olivia and Irene chose blue which landed them on Bob’s team while Rulon and Hannah chose black leaving Jillian jumping for joy at the chance to pounce on Rulon. This meant however that the black team was one player shy and Ali shocked everyone by telling them that Rulon and Hannah would be choosing one eliminated player to return to the ranch as a part of their team – but that would not happen until later.

Before we got a chance to see who would be returning to The Biggest Loser ranch, the trainers got the chance to work out and get to know more about their players. Bob took his team to a spin class where they got to see exactly what Bob used to do. Moses was thrilled that Bob was working on his cardio as were the girls. Brett took his team out to the mountains for a walk and workout getting to know Jen and Courtney a little better since he did not have much chance to work with them. Cara and her team headed over to the boxing ring where Cara put Austin through a test of boxing, placing him against some unknown contender in which Austin prevailed. Jillian surprised Rulon and Hannah with an invite to her beach house, but it while they thought they would be relaxing, she immediately had them working out and then sent Hannah on a walk so she could have a heart to heart and learn more about Rulon. Jillian could not understand how Rulon could get in such a place but after hearing his tale of not feeling good enough it was becoming clearer to her.

Then it was time for their endurance challenge, but before they did Ali revealed who Rulon and Hannah chose to come back – Jay, Jen’s father was the contestant returning and joining the black team as they felt he was eliminated too soon. Jay would also be receiving immunity this week and his weigh in would not count towards the team total. For the challenge, each team had to hold a weight equal to the amount of weight they had lost as a team above a pool of water. If they dropped it in the water, a fire that was lit beneath would go out. The team who could hold out the longest would win videos from home. The black team was the first to give up, as Rulon was encouraging his team mates to give up – he mentioned his shoulder hurting him. The green team gave up next as Ken also threw in the towel, leaving the red team and the blue team. Justin lost his concentration leaving the girls alone on his team to handle it, but lucky for them Moses could not hold on any longer for the blue team and the red team wound up winning. In a wonderful gesture, the red team decided that they would give the videos to the blue team.

Then it was time for their last chance workouts on The Biggest Loser and Brett and Cara took their teams thei separate ways while Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels’ worked their teams out together. After their last chance workouts, here is how the team fared at this week’s weigh in:

Green Team
275 to 272 for a total loss of 3 lbs

270 to 263 for a total loss of 7 lbs

174 to 174 for a total loss of 0

Total team loss of 10 lbs (1.39%)

Red Team
249 to 247 for a total loss of 2 lbs

191 to 187 for a total loss of 4 lbs

237 to 234 for a total loss of 3 lbs

Total team loss of 9 lbs (1.33%)

Blue Team
303 to 300 for a total loss of 3 lbs

185 to 180 lbs for a total loss of 5 lbs

178 to 173 for a total loss of 5 lbs

Total team loss of 13 lbs (1.95%)

Black Team
335 to 330 for a total loss of 5 lbs

176 to 172 for a total loss of 4 lbs

289 to 282 for a total loss of 7 lbs

Total team loss of 9lbs (1.76%) *Jay had immunity and his loss did not count

If you hadn’t already guessed it by the numbers, Kaylee threw her weigh in as she expressed earlier in the episode that she was ready to go home. But it backfired when Ken decided he was not going to play the game and ended up losing 7 lbs, leaving the red team in the bottom. Before they hit the elimination room, Justin pleaded with everyone to let Courtney stay and let him go. Since everyone loved and respected Justin, they honored his wishes and let him go home. Justin is doing wonderfully at home though and is down to 225 lbs, for a total loss of 140 lbs. Justin also runs a class called “Justin’s Call Out” – since he was known for calling others out on the ranch. In his class he trains others all while keeping himself motivated. Best of luck Justin, we look forward to seeing you at the finale!
