American Idol: Steven Tyler Discusses Upcoming Book

March 23, 2011 07:30 AM by Lisa Princ

American Idol on FOX‘s judge Steven Tyler leaves us scratching our heads every week with some of his crazy descriptions. Recently, Steven was caught chatting about his upcoming book and describes it in his usual Steven manner – what’s it all about? Keep reading for more details!

American Idol’s Steven Tyler is set to release his memoir “Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?” in May and Steven recently discussed his book and what we can expect from it. In typical Steven fashion, he goes on to describe the book by saying “I’ve been mythicized, Mick-icized, eulogized and fooligized, I’ve been Cole-Portered and farmer’s-daughtered, I’ve been Led Zepped and 12-stepped. I’m a rhyming fool and so cool that me, Fritz the Cat, and Mohair Sam are the baddest cats that am. I have so many outrageous stories, too many, and I’m gonna tell ’em all. All the unexpurgated, brain-jangling tales of debauchery, sex and drugs, transcendence and chemical dependence you will ever want to hear.”

The book which contains 352 pages of Steven’s life has spent the last few years in the making and Steven says it will be much more personal than the 2003 autobiography Aerosmith put out. Steven Tyler adds that “This is not just my take – this is the unbridled truth, the in-your-face, up-close and prodigious tale of Steven Tyler straight from the horse’s lips.” Interesting – but as is everything that comes out of his mouth. Will you be buying Steven’s book? Comment below and share your thoughts with us, we’d love to hear from you! Then be sure to tune in to American Idol on FOX tonight as the top 11 tackle Motown Classics!

I love you Steven. Too bad so many anal types can’t fathom a creative mind. They like to make unique ,creative people seem as if there’s something wrong –
I look forward to your book. Those past days no one can understand unless they lived them. So I’m glad about your book.

I think your a pretty good man. I wouldn’t mind reading your book. I’ve been through the 12 steps and found freedom, at 45 years old. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I am interested in reading your book, you do intrigue me. When I was a teenager, a group of us drove to Prince George b.c. for the Aerosmith concert. It was really good. Aerosmith used to be my absolute fav. band. I still like your music. I have one request, and that is, please show these young girls respect by not making sexual remarks, moans and groans. They need to focus on their abilities for achievement, not what they look like to get where their going in life. Do you know what I mean? Well, I’ll see tonight on American Idol. Have a good one, and take care! Christine

Yeah, I really wish there would be less sexual comments too! Maybe they will tell him to cut that out for next season.

I will definitely be reading your book when its available, most likely from the library where it’s free! I’m on a fixed income. But I’ll never forget the free concert Aerosmith did in Fort Wayne, IN outdoors at the college campus in 70/71. Memory starting to go now. Loved you then Steven and still do!! You’re a creative genius.
