NBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? is back with an all new episode, and on tonight’s show, cameras follow Golden Globe winning actor, Steve Buscemi, of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire as he searches for family members with dark, mysterious stories; much like the characters that he’s been known for portraying throughout his career in Hollywood. Keep reading for your sneak peek of tonight’s show!
This week on an all new episode of Who Do You Think You Are? on NBC, Steve Buscemi, the Golden Globe winning star of HBO’s dramatic series, Boardwalk Empire, journeys through his family tree to find ancestors with interesting back-stories that resemble those of the characters he’s played for years.
According to Buscemi, playing the “oddball” is something that he did long before his career in feature films. As a young boy growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Buscemi’s father would often have him act in films along with his brother and cousins. But instead of playing Superman, a role that went to his brother, Steve was usually cast (by his own father) as the villain! We guess some people are just born to be the bad guy!
Check out this preview as Steve Buscemi talks about his life growing up in a working class Italian neighborhood in “the country of Brooklyn,” and why he decided to do the NBC reality show.
Don’t forget to catch Boardwalk Empire’s Steve Buscemi on the all new episode of Who Do You Think You Are? tonight at 8|7c on NBC.
