For the first time in recent memory, a season of Survivor will not be interrupted by the NCAA basketball coverage CBS typically picks up during March Madness. Another new episode arrives this Wednesday night as Survivor: Redemption Island continues with a challenge that has been compared to a smackdown. What else can we expect in the upcoming episode? Read on to find out!
The upcoming episode has been titled — “It Don’t Take A Smart One.” Just a guess here, but I bet this is a comment out of Ralph’s own mouth. After all, we’ve seen how horrendous his spelling has been at every Zapatera Tribal Council. Stifinie?!?!? I still can’t get over that! I wonder if he actually knows his own name — Ralph — does not contain the letter “F”.
As always, we get another duel on Redemption Island as Matt battles Stephanie for survival. I think this may be the first time Matt faces a true competitor. No offense to the first four he’s defeated, but let’s be honest — Stephanie is the toughest competitor yet. Can Matt pull off another victory? Five in a row?
In a preview video on CBS.com, it’s teased that we have a battle between Boston Rob and Phillip. Boston Rob says, “He’s dangerous because of his stupidity.” Phillip returns the chatter saying, “I just don’t trust Rob anymore.” Then over at Zapatera, Steve talks about David’s changing attitude becoming tough to handle.
As far as the challenge is considered, it will likely be yet another combined Reward/Immunity battle. Host Jeff Probst says in his blog that it’s “one of the greatest challenges of the season.” The preview video calls it an “extreme Survivor smackdown.” But looking at the challenge, it looks like another possible duplicate from last season on Survivor: Nicaragua where the tribes compete in an obstacle course before busting through walls of staw, sticks and bricks.
But that’s not all, Probst also writes in his blog that this episode delivers “one of the funniest moments in our history.”
Should be interesting.
