Dancing With The Stars: Maksim Chmerkovskiy Helps A Cancer Patient

March 31, 2011 08:00 AM by Allyson Wells

It is always nice to hear when a celebrity uses their status for a good cause and to help others.  Dancing with the Stars professional dancer Maksim Chemerkovskiy is proving he is more than just a pretty face.  He took time away from dance rehearsals with partner Kirstie Alley and pulled strings to help a fan stricken with cancer have a very special night.

TMZ is reporting that a friend of Maksim’s told him about a woman who was having a really tough time with cancer treatments.  She is a huge fan of the show, so Maks decided to use his connections to take her mind off of her condition for a short while.  Maks set up the perfect evening for his special VIP guest and asked for front row seats to a show, along with backstage passes.  Maks was apparently relentless in his pursuit to help the woman.  TMZ reports, “Sources connected to the production tell us Maksim had been furiously trying to set up the perfect evening for a special VIP guest, asking for front row seats for tonight’s show along with special backstage passes.”

Because of Maksim’s help, the woman was able to enjoy prime seats to watch all of her favorite dancers and mingle with the stars and their professional partners backstage.  It was very sweet of Maks to take time of out of his busy dancing schedule to do something special for his fan.  An incredibly handsome and talented man helping others sounds too good to be true!
