Dancing With The Stars: Week Three Results

April 05, 2011 07:18 PM by Allyson Wells

On the third night of Dancing with the Stars, personal story night was full of twists and turns.  Petra Nemcova was a dream from heaven, while Wendy Williams’ dance was deemed better suited for radio.  There was a tumble with Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and a rumble with Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya’s boxing-inspired paso.  How will the chapter end on their dance-inspired stories?

Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin are tied for first with Hines Ward and Kym Johnson.  Wendy Williams and Tony Dovalani are last.  Judge Len Goodman thinks the night was fantastic with tension and drama.  He loved Petra’s waltz, but asks to see Hines and Kym perform their samba again.  Before performing, host Tom Bergeron informs Hines and Kym that they are safe.  They return to the dance floor where he shows off his assets in their sunny dance that was created for his mother.  They gets a standing ovation from the crowd and judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len, and Bruno Tonioli.

Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya, along with Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, who both earned twenty points, return to the floor to learn if they are safe.  Tom announces that Sugar Ray and Anna are both safe.  Hostess Brooke Burke reveals that Romeo and Chelsie are also safe.

As the remaining couples wait backstage to learn their fate, the band “One Republic” performs.  Lacey Schwimmer and Dmitry Chaplin perform a sensual dance together to the band’s song.  I just love seeing the professional stars dance together!

Kirstie and Maks talk backstage with Brooke, along with Petra and Wendy.  Wendy thinks her voting friends will help keep her dancing, despite the judges’ remarks about her being a wooden dancer.  Petra is amazed that her scores were a reality and not a dream.  Maks and Kirstie playfully reenact their tumble.  Maks thanks their fans and asserts they will need a stretcher to get him out of there.  Brooke makes them watch the video of the fall again.  Maks apologizes again to Kirstie and the fans for his muscle going out.  Kirstie tells Brooke she is beautiful to change the subject.

Wendy and Tony and Petra and Dmitry wait on the dance floor to learn if they are safe.  Wendy thinks if her personality was in the competition, instead of her feet, she would win.  Tom reveals that Petra and Dmitry will be returning next week.  Brooke informs Wendy and Tony that they are in jeopardy and will have to wait until the end of the show to learn their fate.

A behind the scenes look from the dancers’ perspectives are shown, as the dancers were given cameras to film themselves.  Hines flew his son in to go to Disneyland and filmed them on a roller coaster.  Kendra is show interacting with her son Hank Jr, who drools in her eye.  Ray shows his son imitating his dance moves.  Wendy takes her camera to New York on her show.  Chelsea and Mark are shown goofing off hanging out together outside of the studio.  Romeo films his friends, who re-energize him, along with flirting with some ladies.  Ralph films himself taking a bath.

Selena Gomez performs her latest singer, “Who Says,” which made a top ten debut.  Mark Ballas and Chelsie Hightower perform a dance to her song.  They are so youthful and playful together in their dance and the crowd loves them.  Mark gives Chelsie a little kiss on her nose at the end of the performance.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas and Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel head to the dance floor to learn their results.  A video of Kendra is shown from the night before freaking out about the blinding smoke.  The next couple revealed to be safe is Chelsea and Mark.  Kendra and Louis learn they are in jeopardy, causing Kendra to remark, “That sucks.  That killed it.”

The professionals weigh in on the stars.  Chelsie thinks there is no front-runner.  Karina finds it shocking that Ralph and Kirstie, two of the oldest performers, are doing so well.  Karina loves Kirstie and how flirtatious she is.  Louis is surprised to see Cheslea take big risks.  Cheryl likes Romeo’s swagger.  Anna loves Wendy’s personality, while Tony loves Sugar Ray’s confidence.  Anna loves Petra’s long arms and legs and Karina feels emotionally connected to her.  Chelsie is surprised by Hines’ bubbly personality.  All of the pros are surprised by how evenly matched the field is.

One Republic returns to perform their song “All the right moves.”  The Dancing with the Stars troupe of dancers perform to the song.  The three pairs perform in sync with one another.

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff, Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke, and Kirstie and Maks go to the dance floor to learn if they will return to dance again next week.  A video of Kirstie and Maks after their fall is shown.  Maks apologizes profusely to Kirstie, who thinks it is her fault.  He assures her the fall was his fault and admires that she wants to take the fall with him.  She jokes that she literally did.  Tom announces that Ralph and Karina are safe.  Brooke tells an excited Kirstie and Maks that they are also safe.  Tom surprises the crowd with the news that Chris and Cheryl are in jeopardy.

Wendy and Tony, Kendra and Louis and Cheryl and Chris return to learn who will be eliminated.  I’m very surprised to see Chris and Cheryl in the bottom three.  Tom announces that Kendra and Louis are safe and smoke-free.  Len didn’t expect Chris to be so great and has tremendous potential.  Tom reveals that the second couple to be eliminated is Wendy and Tony.  Brooke asks Wendy if her talk show took away from her dances.  Wendy admits she has been busy, but thanks the judges and Tony for allowing her to dance.  Instead of performing a last dance, she shakes hands with audience members.  What did you think of the results?  I definitely think it was Wendy’s week to go.  I’m looking forward to seeing who improves and takes the lead on Dancing with the Stars next week!

Thank goodness she is finally eliminated! She was one of the ones you know were planted that would be gotten rid of before the good ones finally battled it out.
