The Biggest Loser: The Most Shocking Elimination To Date

April 05, 2011 07:38 PM by Lisa Princ

Tonight on a brand new episode of The Biggest Loser on NBC we saw a confrontation, players pull together and a night out for one team. But the weigh in this week would be the most heart breaking to date – once again the room was silent and Bob Harper amongst others were filled with tears. Keep reading for all the details on tonight’s dramatic episode!

The Biggest Loser kicks off tonight with Courtney and the other girls from the original black team having a heart to heart chat about the support Courtney needed as she was all alone on her team. Hannah, Olivia and Irene all vowed to help Courtney break through her plateau as Brett Hoebel did also. Brett and Courtney worked out a plan where they were going to have her burn less calories and take in more calories in an effort to jump start her body and get her losing weight again. Courtney was determined to get past the plateau and decided she was going to work extra hard this week while Brett was thinking that the one on one would be good for her as well.

Then we watched as Jillian Michaels’ decided she would tackle Rulon and his late night eating that was exposed last week at the weigh in. So with Hannah and Jay working out with Bob and the blue team, Jillian headed up to chat with Rulon, who had no problem admitting he was eating at night. Rulon took it upon himself to decide that he needed to be rewarded for all the hard work he put in during the day by snacking on chips and candy at night…not a bright move with cameras all around him. In any event, Jillian and Rulon vowed to work on this issue one way or another but we didn’t see anything more about this tonight.

Next up on The Biggest Loser, Ali Sweeney issued the contestants their challenge – place a flag one mile from the starting line in 15 minutes or less. Easy enough, right? Not when you have no measuring tools, just your instinct. Each team used their own strategy to try and measure the mile, such as steps, counting, etc. and each team ended up in a different spot. The winning team by only 4 feet was the black team, with the blue team in second place. For winning, the black team got a night on the town – which worried and infuriated Jillian while the other three teams were left behind to clean, clean and clean the ranch some more.

Jay, Rulon and Hannah all got dolled up and headed out in their limo, trying to decide how they wanted to spend their evening. They all looked stunning, more so Hannah than the guys and she shared how much she was looking forward to this and how good it felt to feel this good about herself. When they got there they decided to go out and dine and while they could have eaten or drank anything they wanted, they chose to play it safe. They all had salads with the dressings on the side, some fish and crab legs minus the butter. Hannah even seemed to have an admirer who showed up at the table to toast them hearing that they were on The Biggest Loser. When Jay and Rulon caught on to this, they made an excuse to leave the table so that Hannah and the man could mingle which she enjoyed immensely – stay tuned to find out if this turns into anything more.

Then it was back to business as usual and the teams went in for their last chance workouts. After their last chance workouts, here is how the team fared at this week’s weigh in:

Green Team
265 to 263 for a total loss of 2 lbs

257 to 253 for a total loss of 4 lbs

169 to 168 for a total loss of 1 lbs

Total team loss of 7 lbs (1.01%)

Red Team

232 to 231 for a total loss of 1 lbs

Total team loss of 1 lbs (.48%)

Blue Team
293 to 286 for a total loss of 7 lbs

176 to 174 lbs for a total loss of 2 lbs

170 to 164 for a total loss of 6 lbs

Total team loss of 15 lbs (2.35%)

Black Team
325 to 318 for a total loss of 7 lbs

172 to 168 for a total loss of 4 lbs

276 to 270 for a total loss of 6 lbs

Total team loss of 17 lbs (2.20%)

With that said, there was no elimination vote tonight as Courtney had the lowest percentage of weight loss. What a heart breaking elimination this one was. Brett was crushed while Bob, who was in tears declared how angry he was that another player who needed to be there was going home. Jillian was pissed and frustrated as well, but no one showed more emotions than the girls of the black team – Hannah, Olivia and Irene. The ladies were all in tears but Courtney had a huge smile on her face as usual and vowed to go home and keep it up.

After encouraging the girls to keep at it and bring it home to the finale, Ali Sweeney then gave everyone some shocking news on top of that. In another sad twist she announced that Courtney would not be the only person leaving the ranch tonight as Brett Hoebel would be heading out as well since he had no one left to train. If that was not one of the dumbest things I have ever heard, why not let him train some of the other contestants? In any event, I guess this means we are stuck with Cara next season, who in my opinion is a poor replacement for Jillian Michaels.

As for Courtney, she is currently down to 210 lbs and I have no doubt that next to Arthur she has the best chance at the home prize. Can’t wait to see you at the finale Courtney!

Tune in next Tuesday at 8 pm EST for a brand new episode of The Biggest Loser on NBC as it looks like Jillian is the one stressed out!

Jillian is Jillian and Cara is another trainer. They are two different types of trainers. Maybe the Biggest Loser will keep the 3 trainers next season and eventually trim it down to two. So give her a chance. She is new to the screen and eventually might grown on the viewers or maybe not.

I am not really a fan of Cara either. Or Brett. Brett is definitely hot though! Cara doesn’t have enough backbone. Next season will not be the same without Jillian!
