The big twist involving Redemption Island is here! After tonight’s duel on Survivor: Redemption Island, either Matt or Sarita will return to the game. Although they were voted out of the game, one of them will be back in the running to win the $1 million prize just in time for the merge. But just because this moment has arrived doesn’t mean the theme this season is dead. Redemption Island isn’t over yet! It lives on! What does all this mean? Read on to find out more!
Just like Exile Island stayed alive throughout its seasons, Redemption Island will continue as well. This means a second player will have the opportunity to return to the competition later in the season.
This brings the potential for either Matt or Sarita to be voted out of the game a second time with another shot at returning through Redemption Island. Yes, Matt could potentially be voted off by the merged tribe only to return to the game again later in the season if he can survive more duels on Redemption Island. It’s hard to think that Matt could make it to the finals even though he was the second person voted off.
This only makes sense that CBS decided to continue Redemption Island because it wouldn’t make sense to kill off the subtitle of the entire season with several weeks left in the competition.
It also appears that the twist of Redemption Island will also be featured in upcoming editions of Survivor.
