While brother Derek Hough is returning to Dancing with the Stars, Julianne Hough does not have plans to return to the show any time soon. Julianne recently announced she will be teaming up with Tom Cruise to star in a new project. The two will tackle a big screen adaptation of the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages.”
Julianne has already met with Tom about the upcoming project. She revealed to Access Hollywood, “I get star struck over everybody, it’s just, I don’t really show it. Honestly, he’s one of the most welcoming people you’ve ever met. Looks you straight in the eyes-like through your face! He’s so great. We sat there, talked about the script. I’m excited because what everybody’s been saying about him is he’s the hardest working person you’ll ever meet. He’s so invested in it. Nobody will work harder…and to me, I love that adrenaline of having to keep up with somebody. For me, it’s like, ‘Oh! This is gonna be so fun.’” Julianne also added, “I gotta show him I’ve got some balls. I’m not gonna sit there and not say anything. I gotta interact. He’s amazing.”
While rumors have been circulating that Diego Gonzalez Boneta will be playing the lead part, Julianne was unable to confirm that he is but did say she has met the star and he would be a great addition to the cast. “I did meet him and he’s so beautiful. He’s got like a cleft in his chin, he’s a move star. He’s very hot and really, really great actor and amazing singer, so it’s be great.”
