Dancing With The Stars: Week Four Results

April 12, 2011 07:16 PM by Allyson Wells

Last night on Dancing with the Stars, it was classical music night and there were instant classics with epic performances. However, during tonight’s results show, one of the top scoring couples is revealed to be in jeopardy. Another top-scoring couple from last week is also in jeopardy. Will one of the leading contenders go home tonight? Keep reading for the results!

The orchestra is back and do a rocking rendition of Run DMC and Aerosmith’s “Walk this Way.” The Dancing with the Stars Troupe interprets the song on the dance floor. The judges and the audience give the orchestra a standing ovation. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke welcome everyone to the show.

The top three couples, Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, Hines Ward and Kym Johnson and Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff wait for their results. All three couples are shown after they performed and are excited to be at the head of the pack. However, Tom announces that only two of the couples are safe, and one is in jeopardy. The first couple that is safe is Ralph and Karina. Hines and Kym are also revealed to be safe. This leaves Mark and Chelsea in jeopardy. Len remarks that Chelsea is an excellent dancer, but the routine wasn’t his cup of tea. However, he thinks she could be in the finals. The judges ask Chelsea and Mark to do an encore performance of their Viennese Waltz. I’m very surprised to learn that these two are in jeopardy.

A segment airs with Len dressed as Lt. Len addressing the dancers, who are dressed as soldiers. He snarks that they will all be performing patriotic dances next week. When Hines looks at him, Len yells and asks if he asked him to look at him and makes him do push-ups. Chris is smiling, but Len orders him to wipe that smile off his face and start sweating. It’s a funny segment and the dancers have great chemistry interacting with one another.

Jennifer Hudson performs live with the premiere of her song “Don’t Look Down.” Her new album is called “I Remember Me.” She begins the song in the audience and walks across the dance floor in super high heels. When she takes the stage, Louis and Karina perform a hot dance to the song.

The next three couples, Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin, Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke and are in the middle of the pack. They chat with Brooke backstage. Petra is happy to connect with the American audience for patriotic week. Brooke asks Chris how he feels about being in the middle. He jokes he wishes the economy was better, too, but you just do the best you can. Once on stage, Tom reveals that Chris and Cheryl are safe. Brooke announces that Romeo and Chelsie are also safe. Tom informs Petra and Dmitry that they are still in jeopardy.

The three lowest scoring couples, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya and Kendra Wilkinson and Louis van Amstel wait with Brooke. They all hope to still be dancing. Kendra announces that her hormones took over, and Brooke laughs that she appreciates her honesty.

A segment about the professional dancers’ challenge with new choreography airs. Mark says it is especially challenging to try something new, but not push the limit with the judges. Cheryl loves looking for inspiration. Dmitry likes to use all different musical influences. Karina thinks dancing is a lot like motion pictures. Louis likes incorporating the limit of risk. Kym finds it so satisfying to watch a dancer go through a transformation. Chelsie asserts it is their job to be creative and she takes her job very seriously. All of the professionals want to give their dancers the best possible chance to win.

A breathtaking dance especially created for Dancing with the Stars is performed. It is different principal ballerinas performing a movement from Swan Lake. It is truly gorgeous and I love the sweeping sounds of Tchaikovsky. It makes me feel like Sugar Ray did last night and want to go enroll in ballet classes. The audience gives the beautiful performance a standing ovation.

Jennifer Hudson performs the song “Feeling Good” with the 48-piece orchestra. I recognize this song from her Weight Watchers commercials. The Dancing with the Stars Troupe performs a routine to the song. Tom announces that Jennifer will be going on tour this summer.

The three lowest-scoring couples take the stage. Kirstie and Maks’ shoe mishap is shown again. At the end of the dance, Maks is heard asking if he can kiss Kirstie. Kym also gives her some support and tells her she will be okay. Video footage of Kendra and Louis is also shown. Before they take the stage, Kendra apologizes to Louis for being so out of it. During the dance, Louis can be heard telling Kendra to breathe and relax. After their dance, Louis tells Kendra he was really disappointed with her comment that she didn’t care about the competition. Kendra cries that she is embarrassed and wants to hide.  This is really interesting footage.  I totally agree with Louis!  The three couples nervously await their results. Tom tells a thrilled Kirstie and Maks that they are safe. Brooke tells a shocked Kendra and Louis that they are also safe. This leaves Sugar Ray and Anna in jeopardy.

The three couples in jeopardy, Chelsea and Mark, Petra and Dmitry and Sugar Ray and Anna return to the stage to learn who will be eliminated. Tom reveals that Petra and Dmitry are safe. Tom then announces that Sugar Ray and Anna are eliminated. They take a bow for the audience. He says he will cherish his time on this great show. Tom thinks Sugar Ray was the heart of the show. Sugar Ray loves the spirit of the show and Anna is amazed that a boxer went to ballet with her. They give the audience one more dance. It looks like he is apologizing to Anna, and she is telling him it is okay. What did you think of the results? I do think Sugar Ray showed tremendous improvement this week, but would have gone home eventually. This competition is very close, and it appears to be anyone’s game!
