This week on The Biggest Loser on NBC we watched as not only the contestants, but Bob Harper also faced his fears. After the show, Bob blogged about facing your fears and how scared he was of that bungee jump! Keep reading to hear more!
The Biggest Loser’s Bob Harper came face to face with his own fear of heights this week in New Zealand as he made a pact to jump off the sky tower if Ken did it. Much to Bob’s surprise Ken agreed and Bob had to keep his promise. So what did Bob think of that experience? Bob, who still cannot believe that he actually did it, posted this in his blog “I remember that day and getting up to the top of the sky tower and there was all this talk about if I would do the jump or not and I was just laughing about it. There was no way and then all of a sudden the contestants got up there and I was meant to talk to Ken about overcoming his fear and jump. Well how in the world was I supposed to get him to do that when I had no intention whatsoever of doing it myself.” We could tell from the look in his face during the episode that he was hoping Ken would say no to the jump.
As much as Bob tries to get the contestants to overcome their fears – and usually succeeds at it, Bob admits he has not overcome his fear despite the jump. In fact, he also said ” I’m all about people overcoming their fears and changing behaviors that hold them back from fulfilling their dreams and finding happiness. So I have to think about what I learned from jumping off that building and I would love to say that I overcame my fear of heights but I really don’t think that I have. But I think that’s OK because my fear of heights is not holding me back from anything in my life in regards to reaching my dreams and happiness. I think that this was a great stunt that was scary and a lot of fun.” For more on Bob’s thoughts, be sure to check out Bob Harper’s Blog
