Last week we said goodbye to Paul McDonald on American Idol on FOX after a performance by season one winner Kelly Clarkson. This week, season seven winner David Cook takes the stage to perform a single from his new album and we will also see a performance by Katy Perry. Keep reading for all the details!
After saying goodbye to Paul McDonald this past week, American Idol returns next week on Wednesday, April 20 (8:00-9:30 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) and the Top 7 finalists – Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart – return to the Idol stage to perform songs from the 21st century.
Tune in the following night, Thursday, April 21 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), to the live results show to find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who is sent home.
The live results show will feature performances by Season Seven American Idol winner David Cook and pop sensation Katy Perry. David Cook will perform a new single “The Last Goodbye” from his new album. We’ll also see Katy Perry perform “E.T.,” the fourth number one single off her Grammy-nominated album “Teenage Dream.”
