After Paul McDonald’s elimination last week, American Idol on FOX returns tomorrow with the top seven performing songs from the 21st century. According to E!Online, the seven remaining finalists have been getting mentored this week by legendary rock star Bruce Springsteen. Keep reading for all the details!
While American Idol has been keeping quiet about the mentors this season up until the show airs, E!Online has learned that this week Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk and Scotty McCreery have been getting mentored by Bruce Springsteen. According to the site “The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer visited the set Friday to lend his considerable expertise.”
Despite no official word from Idol, this was posted on their Twitter page “Holy pride of New Jersey….BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN in the studio right now listening to the idols sing!!!!” We can only assume the final seven were thrilled to see “The Boss” and take in all his tips and advice. While it might seem strange at first to hear that Bruce may appear on the show, we have to remember that keep in mind that Jimmy Iovine has a long history with the Jersey boy, going back to the 1970s when Iovine helped on such landmark albums as “Born to Run”.
What do you think about Bruce Springsteen mentoring the final seven? Comment below and share your thoughts with us! Then be sure to tune in tomorrow at 8 pm EST to see the top seven hit the stage once again!
