Just days after fans watched him get fired from this season of NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice, a rep for Gary Busey confirms that the Oscar-nominated actor’s youngest son, Luke, 1, has been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital with an undisclosed illness.
Being fired from Celebrity Apprentice is the last thing on Gary Busey’s mind right now. A rep for the actor confirms that yesterday (April 19) his 1-year-old son, Luke, was checked into a hospital.
TMZ reports that Luke is currently at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, with doctors treating an undisclosed “childhood illness,” but Busey’s rep did not offer any additional information on the boy’s condition, except that he is expected to be back home with his parents – Gary Busey and fiance Steffanie Sampson – by the end of the week.
“Gary is very grateful to his fans for their love and support,” adds Busey’s rep. “Steffanie and Gary thank everyone for their get well prayers for Luke.”
Luke is the only child of Busey’s fiance, Steffanie Sampson. Gary Busey, 66, also has two older children – son, Jake, and daughter, Alectra – from previous relationships.
Busey recently credited both Luke and Steffanie with helping him turn his life around after years of drug abuse and reckless behavior, telling TV Guide Network’s Hollywood 411, “I know better now.”
Gary Busy and fiance Steffanie Sampson plan to wed this year in Sedona, Arizona, which the Celebrity Apprentice star says is a “very spiritual place.”
Get well soon Luke! And best wishes to the entire Busey family.
An all new Celebrity Apprentice airs Sunday, April 24 at 9|8c on NBC.
