This week on The Biggest Loser on NBC we saw the return of trainer Brett Hoebel and he even brought a new workout called Capoeira with him. But after losing his team due to poor weight loss, is it possible that this dance workout could have helped some of the big losses this week? Keep reading to find out more!
The Biggest Loser trainer Brett Hoebel decided to try something different this week with his Capoeira workout. The workout, which is an Afro-Brazilian dance like workout is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power kicks and quick leg sweeps, with some ground and aerial acrobatics, knee strikes, take downs, elbow strikes, punches and headbutts. As he introduced some of the contestants to it, Brett said that is was also to build trust in which he was attempting to do with some of the ladies that he hadn’t worked with yet. In this deleted scene, you can see Irene tackling Brett’s Capoeira workout while the pair bond:
But the question is – did the Capoeira workout help the contestants lose so much weight? Ironically, we saw Olivia pull off a 4 lb loss after she was captured doing the workout and more amazingly was that Irene, who is the smallest woman on the show, weighing in at 161 lbs before the weigh in also pulled a 4 lb loss. Could it have been this new workout that gave these girls the extra boost they needed this week? We can’t be certain, but it sure looks like a lot of fun and worth a try!
