When Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin made an appearance during last week’s TV Land Awards, the web was buzzing about her new, younger look, which seemed to be the result of plastic surgery. Zarin denied having any work done, claiming that it was simply water that caused the dramatic change. But now, Jill’s coming clean, admitting that when she said water, what she really meant was Restylane. It’s an honest mistake.
It seems that Sonja Morgan was right!
After much speculation about her “new face,” Jill Zarin of Bravo‘s Real Housewives of New York City finally admits that it wasn’t just water that gave her a more youthful appearance; it was actually Restylane injections.
“I have a liquid facelift every six months,” Zarin, 47, tells People magazine. “It really works. No knives!”
Instead of using a filler on individual smile lines, Zarin’s dermatologist, Dr. Patricia Wexler, says that she injected Restylane along her jaw line and along each side of her face; a procedure that runs about $1,000-$3,000 a visit.
“I won’t say it doesn’t hurt,” says Zarin. “But it’s 100 percent worth it. She took ten years off my face.”
Jill also says that in addition to the Restylane injections, she’s also been getting Botox in her forehead and between her eyes for the past 10 years. Recently, she started getting the injections in her neck as well, to ward off the “turkey neck” that she says runs in her family.
And if you’re wondering about the dramatic change in her nose, Jill Zarin credits her new hair and makeup artist, Jim Crawford, for that.
“He put brown contouring makeup on my nose and thinned it out,” says the reality TV star.
Crawford also airbrushed the sides of her face and hairline in a shade that’s darker than her natural skin tone to add dimension.
So, she didn’t have plastic surgery this time, but the Real Housewives of New York City star says she’s not against it. “All of a sudden if I woke up with jowls, that’s it,” says Jill. “I’m going under the knife.”
