Celebrity Apprentice’s LaToya Jackson: I Was Thrown To The Wolves

April 25, 2011 02:30 PM by Shayla Perry

She may not have made it to the finale, but when LaToya Jackson was fired on Celebrity Apprentice, she left the NBC reality show having raised a total of $65,000 for her charity, AIDS Project L.A., and gaining the respect of Donald Trump himself. In her official Exit Interview, LaToya reflects on her Celebrity Apprentice experience, and Star Jones and NeNe Leakes’ strategic move to have her eliminated from the competition.

LaToya Jackson surprised a lot of people during her run on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice — especially Donald Trump. Once thought of as a soft-spoken pushover with little to contribute to the team, in a few short weeks, Jackson managed to prove that there’s more to her than just her last name.

Though her team members didn’t exactly see things that way, Trump rushed to LaToya’s defense in the boardroom, pointing out that in more than one challenge, it was LaToya that impressed the executives the most.

Despite being “thrown to the wolves” by Star Jones and NeNe Leakes, whom she had just befriended, in her Exit Interview, LaToya Jackson says that she has no regrets and is happy that she had the opportunity to not only work with Donald Trump, but to carry on her brother’s legacy by raising so much money for AIDS Project L.A..

Hear what else LaToya had to say about her time on Celebrity Apprentice, and why she thinks Star Jones is not fit to work with Donald Trump in her Exit Interview:

Will Star Jones change her ways during the next challenge?

Latoya showed a lot of class, as well as Star Jones, even if she is a cold Diva; but that NeNe Leakes is straight out GHETTO; gives a BAD name to the Afican American Women!!! NeNe Leakes is really a laughing stock to America and Donald Trump is benefiting from it. NeNe thinks that one watches her because she is funny, no NeNe, it’s because you are truly ignorant and ppl are LAUGHING at you, girl!!! lol

I was excited about Trump running for president, but he lost my vote when he fired Latoya instead of firing that backstabbing, conniving, pretentious Starr Jones. The ironic thing was he reasoned the women needed to get rid of, their weak link, Latoya if they are to have a chance. Ironic because first; when the men were begging for him to fire Gary, he kept depleting the men’s team by firing valuable players instead, at one point taking the womens recommendation of who to fire over the mens pleas for it to be Gary!! 2nd, the women would probably be stronger without Starr and her divisive tactics…..the only thing she ever does is sit her a$$ on the computer. It was all her Idea this week for the Trump Promotion and it was horrible…..looked like some pamphlet for the Poconos! Of course she thought it was fabulous. Plus her sneaky tactics are what caused the womens losing streak! Of course she adds controversy so Trump keeps her for the ratings no matter how unfair and hypocritical it is. Shows me what kind of president he’ll make!!

Star brought Latoya in the boardroom because Toy was one of the strongest players. Star was intimidated by Latoya’s success on prior tasks, the Jackson name, class, world exposure and likeability. The women on that team knew they didn’t had to get rid of her and ultimately they did just that. What’s sad is Jackson wasn’t dismissed for poor performance, but because of game strategy.
