It’s almost here! NBC‘s newest reality competition, The Voice, premieres Tuesday night, but we’ve got your EXTENDED preview right here! Learn how the show works, and hear the superstar coaches – Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton – show the contestants how it’s done with a stellar performance of Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy.”
If you’re you’re like us, you can’t wait to see the season premiere of NBC’s The Voice!
Hosted by Carson Daly, The Voice is unlike any other singing competition we’ve seen before. Unlike the judges on American Idol, The Voice features four celebrity “coaches” – Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. In the first part of the competition, the coaches will blindly select members of their team whom they will mentor throughout the duration of the show. Because the only thing that matters is the voice, contestants will not be judged on age, gender, looks, personality, or any of the other reasons people are usually rejected on American Idol.
In addition to the competition between the vocalists, the coaches of The Voice are also competing against one another to get one of their team members to the finale.
And yes, there’s a chance for viewers to vote as well. But instead of reading about it, check out this extended preview of The Voice, which explains everything you need to know about the show ahead of the premiere AND features an awesome cover of Gnarls Barkley’s hit song, “Crazy,” performed by coaches Cee-Lo Green (yes, of Gnarls Barkley), Maroon 5′s Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Country superstar Blake Shelton.
The Voice premieres Tuesday, April 26 at 9|8c on NBC.
