Another twist arrives on tonight’s episode of Survivor: Redemption Island — a mystery package. What is inside? Whatever it may be has some concerned about how the contents of the mystery package may affect their game strategically.
The mystery package is given to the Murlonio tribe at a challenge, which appears to be a one-on-one log rolling contest. After tossing the package to the group, host Jeff Probst tells them to bring the package with them to the next Tribal Council. Back at camp, a preview video shows Boston Rob worried about what impact the package will bring. “I don’t understand why there has to be a twist,” Boston Rob confides in Grant. “Always a twist.”
I think it would be really cool if the mystery package told the tribe they were going to vote out two people instead of one at the same Tribal Council. Right there on the spot.
But the mystery package isn’t all the episode is about. A CBS press release says: “One castaway reaches their breaking point in the game and struggles to find the strength to continue.” This is clearly about Matt’s extended stay on Redemption Island. Preview videos show Matt crying as he explains his personal woes involving the way the game has turned out for him. “I’m just so over this game, man,” Matt says in a confessional. But he still has his solid faith to rely on. “God has literally been carrying me.”
That’s not all, Phillip continues his wacky ways as well. “As long as he keeps up his stupid antics, he’s under my protection,” Boston Rob vows.
