Last night on FOX’s Kitchen Nightmares we watched Gordon Ramsay take on La Frite Cafe. Despite what looked like a successful restaurant makeover, thisFrench Bistro is getting mixed reviews from it’s customers. Keep reading for more details!
Kitchen Nightmares gave us what looked like a successful makeover of La Frite last night by Gordon Ramsay, but not all of the customers are enjoying the new dining experience. In fact, if you check out the restaurant review on Yelp, you will see comments such as “I loved the old La Frite!!!! Chef Gordon Ramsey needs to take his new menu and shove it. The decor is nice but I miss the ratatouille crepe, the large portions, the good old fashioned, homemade French food.” and “I have been coming to La Frite for MANY years. I have always loved their fillet mignon; fun appetizers (salads, brie, etc). I touted this establishment so heavily to my boyfriend, that we went this week. I am still REELING from the change (FOR THE WORST) from this restaurant.”
But there are some folks who think the changes have been for the best as some customers have said “La Frite Sherman Oaks has spiffed up their decor and revamped the menu. They are now back to their roots as a French bistro. We thoroughly enjoyed their escargot, the endive salad, hanger steak and the BEST crepes Suzette! They still have their fabulous bread and French fries. We will be back often!” I have to wonder if those left complaining are just not fans of Gordon Ramsay as I cannot imagine this place being worse than it was. What do you think? Comment and share your thoughts with us!
