This is where it ends. The Unfinished Business Season of The Amazing Race will wrap up in a two hour season finale on Sunday beginning at 8 pm on CBS. The final four teams will mix it up in Brazil, where racers will cry out in pain during a hairy situation.
The first team remaining are best friends Zev and Justin. Last week, they made it to the finish line just minutes before Kent and Vyxsin’s penalty ran out. I admit, I was so nervous for this pair and anxious for them to cross that finish line! They have been in first place several times. Can they get it back together for the final leg of the race? I really admire both of these guys. Participating in such a competition is no easy task for Zev with his disability. It is remarkable what he has done, and also wonderful how Justin has helped him.
The Harlem Globetrotters, Flight Time and Big Easy, are also still in the race. They avoided a controversial elimination by u-turning the popular cowboys. I’ve enjoyed their one-liners throughout the race. They seem to have a great time wherever they go and have a lot of positive energy.
Sisters Kisha and Jen have flown under the radar for this race. They haven’t been in the lead much, but they also haven’t been in jeopardy of being eliminated. I think these two work so well together. One of my favorite moments was when they had to work with manure in India and they were getting annoyed because they couldn’t complete the task-they had some great sassy one-liners there!
Finally, father and daughter Gary and Mallory look to be the first parent and child team to win the race. I adore this team. I was rooting for them during their season and have enjoyed seeing them again this season. Mallory can be so head strong, but seems fearless and willing to do whatever it takes to stay in it and win.
While the finals don’t quite seem the same without the cowboys, I’m excited to see who will cross the finish line first. Who will you be rooting for to take home the 1 million dollar prize? Tune into the finale this Sunday to see the winner!
