This week on American Idol on FOX we watched as James Durbin made the top four and now the 22 year old’s hometown of Santa Cruz is planning to hold “James Durbin Day” – that is, if America pushes him through one more week. Keep reading for all the details!
American Idol’s James Durbin has won the hearts of millions of voters this season on American Idol and now his hometown is planning a day in his honor, complete with performances by the 22 year old rocker. In fact, May 14th to be exact has been named “James Durbin Day” and if the rocker makes it into the top three this week, American Idol has committed to come to Santa Cruz with James Durbin in tow to present a live performance on the Boardwalk’s beach bandstand. This will be a free show for fans, and according to the local news “Durbin is slated to appear on the bandstand at 5 p.m. to sing no more than four songs.”
Now all James Durbin has to do is win over America one more time and make it into the top three. Can he do that? Personally I think he will and apparently so does judge Randy Jackson. In an interview recently with Access Hollywood, Randy Jackson had this to say about James Durbin “He really could win the whole thing, so I think he’s giving everyone a run for their money” and he added “I’m hoping that the public is looking at that going, ‘Hey, this guy is real dude.’ ” in hopes that America can see what Randy sees. We think James will have no problem getting into the top three this week.
Are you happy with this season’s top four, or do you think America got it wrong? Comment and share your thoughts with us – we’d love to hear from you. Then be sure to tune in next week to see these exciting performances!
