There has been another fall on Dancing with the Stars. Kym Johnson fell while rehearsing with partner Hines Ward. She injured her neck and was rushed to the hospital. Keep reading for all of the details.
Dancing With the Stars professional Kym Johnson was taken by ambulance to a Los Angeles area hospital Friday after falling and injuring her neck. Johnson suffered the injury while practicing with her partner, Pittsburgh Steelers player Hines Ward, for Monday’s performance show featuring the remaining four couples.
“After several tests, she was cleared by the medical staff, though she is bruised, sore and currently wearing a neck brace,” the show says in a statement. “Kym plans to continue with Hines Ward in the competition and resume rehearsals as soon as possible.”
Last week, Ralph Macchio injured a disc and he and partner Karina Smirnoff were only able to rehearse nine hours, when they normally put in 40. Their lack of rehearsal time definitely showed in their dancing, which were reflected in their lowest scores of the season. At this stage in the competition, it would be a tough blow to any team. Will Kym’s injury hinder her rehearsal time with Hines?
This season has been known for having the cursed dance floor. First, Maksim Chmerkovskiy pulled a leg muscle while dancing. Then, his partner Kirstie Alley lost her shoe. Karina tripped over Ralph’s coat in a live performance. Finally, Mark Ballas also fell and injured himself during dress rehearsals.
We hope Kym is feeling better and will be dancing on Monday!
