Survivor: Redemption Island Reunion – And The Winner Is…

May 15, 2011 07:31 PM by Lisa Princ

After the season finale, it is finally time for the reunion show of Survivor: Redemption Island in which we find out which one of three players will be named sole survivor! Keep reading to find out who won!

Survivor: Redemption Island‘s season finale was a good one, and it followed by the reunion show in which the votes were tallied live and it was announced that the winner is Boston Rob! The reunion show kicks off with Rob sharing his story of how he created alliances, and how he befriended Natalie knowing she would stay loyal to him. Jeff then questioned how their tribe was almost cult like and Rob said it was and he would go around checking to make sure people weren’t talking to others and he said what hard work it was.

Jeff Probst asked Ashley why the girls never flipped it on Rob in which Ashley answered saying that Natalie and herself knew that Rob had an idol and they knew he was going to play it and that was the best move for her. Andrea then says that Rob played a brilliant game and what we didn’t see what the relationships he formed and how he was like a big brother to her. She goes on to say that if she had to do it again, she would keep checking things like Rob did.

Next, Jeff Probst questions what Rob saw in Phillip that no one else did and Rob said that Phillip is a lovable guy and people should just listen to him and the stories he tells. Jeff turns his attention to Phillip and asked if he was down and Phillip says no he is just listening. Natalie then says she may have turned on Rob if she knew he did not have the idol, but they knew he had it. Then Natalie addresses Julie’s harshness by saying she is stronger than she thinks she is and she has learned to take it with a grain of salt and move on.

Rob was put in the spotlight next about Grant in which he apologized to Grant and said there were no hard feelings but they hadn’t talked. Grant when questioned said that there needs to be a line drawn and for him it was more than just a game – factored with his facial expressions, I don’t think he is ready to forgive Rob. Jeff then tells Rob that his game was the closest to a perfect game he has seen in 22 seasons.

Matt shared what a hard time he had and how his family felt for him while he was there. Andrea was next questioned about any love interest with her and Matt and she answered saying that he was cute. Matt replied saying that they live far away but they did have a connection on the island. Mike was up next as Jeff showed off some of his war photos and when compared Mike says Survivor transformed him and helped him find his purpose and get closer to God. He goes on to say that while they don’t compare, Survivor is very real, but your life is not on the line.

Russell is up next for questioning and after he congratulates Rob, they two shake hands. Russell calls Jeff great and then goes on about how sick it makes me to hear Steve call Phillip less of a man when Steve threw a challenge. Russell also says he should say no that he will never play again and then he tells Jeff to keep his number. Phillip comes on tells how everyone loves him and he has never met anyone who hasn’t – then he says he would not trade his integrity for a million dollars. Jeff then asks Phillip about the heated discussion between he and Steve and Phillip says that they have not made up, but they are and then Phillip apologized to Steve. Phillip’s credentials are then proven as Jeff interviews another federal agent who knows Phillip.

Next up on Survivor Redemption Island was the Sprint player of the season for $100,000 and Jeff reveals that it came neck in neck down to Boston Rob and Matt, but the winner is Rob Mariano. Ralph is then questioned about Phillip who says he likes Phillip. Next Matt reveals that he got married and Jeff goes on that another love affair was formed.

David then reveals that he is dating former cast member Carolina Eastwood. David jokes that she put him in his place a few times before even giving him the time of day but things are going well for them and then in a surprise twist, David gets down on one knee and proposes and of course Carolina couldn’t help herself but say yes!

Before closing, we got a glimpse of Survivor’s 23rd season which will take place in the South Pacific and we will see two players return. Be sure to keep checking in here for more information on the new season, we will be sure to post it as soon as we know more!

Maybe now we can give someone else a chance. Goodbye Boston Rob. Getting tired of seeing the same old people on the program.

I agree with peanut. I can not stand Boston Rob and as soon as it was obvious that he was going to win way back when I quit watching and will not he watching again. Maybe these reality shows should make him get a real job. He has been living off of tv money since he hooked up with Amber.
