On June 1st The World According to Paris, Paris Hilton’s new reality show will premiere on Oxygen. Oxygen will also debut its co-viewing experience, “Paris Live” on Facebook. What does this all mean for Facebook users?
Fans will have an all new way to feel connected to Paris herself and the show. Oxygen developed a new viewing application specifically for Facebook which features live video stream and a chatting function. On June 1st “Paris Live” will debut 15 minutes prior to the premiere of The World according to Paris.
“We’re focused on the next generation of co-viewing and we believe hyper-curation of friend groups plays a key role,” said Jenniffer Kavanagh, Vice President, Digital, Oxygen Media. This new Oxygen Live Facebook app allows fans to choose between two user experiences. Users can choose to attend the party with a large group of fans on the The World According to Paris Facebook Page or host their own “private party” on their personal pages by hand-selecting their own friends. Regardless of which option is chosen, all the users will have the same access to Paris and the live video stream.
Fans look forward to the premiere of the socialite’s new reality show which shows a glimpse into her daily life and the people in it. Now fans have a new platform – “Paris Live” to ask Paris about her life and the new show.
