American Idol: U2 Confirms That They Will Perform At The Finale

The rumors of U2 taking the stage on American Idol on FOX‘s season finale can now be labeled as rumors no more as the group just confirmed that they will indeed perform on the Idol finale. Keep reading for more details!

That’s right, U2 has just confirmed to Billboard that they will indeed be taking the stage for a performance on the American Idol this week. According to Billboard, the band’s longtime manager, Paul McGuinness, revealed backstage at the Billboard Music Awards that the group would be rehearsing for the Idol finale on Monday before performing on the show two days later. In between the rehearsal and performance, U2 will perform at Salt Lake City’s Rice-Eccles Stadium on Tuesday.

So we now know that the super group will take the stage on Wednesday, but there is no word of what they will perform or whether or not it will include the cast of “Spiderman” as previously reported. Are you excited to see U2 take the stage?
