American Idol: Season Ten Finale Round Two

May 24, 2011 08:36 PM by Lori Wilson

Season Ten’s American Idol Finale continued with round two. The finalists had their idols choose which song they would perform. Keep reading to find out what they sang.

For round two of Season Ten, George Strait picked “Check Yes Or No” for American Idol finalist Scotty McCreery. He gave a strong performance with his surprising voice that comes from such a young man’s body. When it was Lauren’s turn, she sang Carrie Underwood’s choice of “Maybe in Memphis.”

I’m not quite sure about Lauren’s outfits and hair. Is it just me or does she look straight out of the 80′s?

Regardless of the fashion on display, both Scotty and Lauren had to face the American Idol judges about their voices. Randy thought Scotty’s first song was brilliant and felt like he was at a Scotty McCreery concert. He enjoyed Lauren too, but gave round one to Scotty. Not to worry, Randy gave Lauren round two. Jennifer Lopez gave them both high praise as well and agreed with Randy’s assessment. Mr. Steven Tyler gave both rounds to Lauren, but only because she’s prettier than Scotty is.

Is that a fair critique? What do you think? Who’s the front runner so far? I’m liking Scotty personally. For the whole story go to our full recap at American Idol: Top Two Finale Performances.
