Fans of former American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, know that the singer is an admitted reality TV junkie (aren’t we all?), so naturally she’s been keeping up with season 10 of the Fox reality show that brought her into the spotlight so many years ago. And like the rest of us, she too, has her thoughts on which of the two remaining finalists will be named this year’s American Idol. So, is Kelly Clarkson Team Scotty or Team Lauren? Find out after the jump!
“I do still watch ‘Idol,’ more this season than any other,” Clarkson tells Popeater. “I totally love Lauren [Alaina]… I just love when you can see someone sing through their ‘person’ and you can just feel it — she has so much beauty that comes through with her singing.”
Though she’s amped to watch Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery in tonight’s American Idol finale, Kelly says that there’s another show she’s just as excited to see when the Idol season is over — Simon Cowell‘s The X Factor.
“I love all of those talent shows and think they are great for the whole industry, because they are all about the music and the voice,” says Clarkson, adding, “Everything it should be about.”
What’s the American Idol alum up to these days, other than reminding fans why we voted for her in the first place by remaining a force in the music industry?
Kelly Clarkson has teamed up with Tupperware to raise money for the Boys and Girls Club through a program called the Chain of Confidence. She’ll be headlining tonight’s Confide + Conquer concert at the Highline Ballroom in New York City — hopefully keeping track of the American Idol finale before and after her performance!
Don’t forget (as if you could), tonight’s season finale of American Idol airs at 8|7c on Fox, where either Lauren Alaina or Scotty McCreery will take home the title!
