The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice Denies Rumors Husband Joe Is Leaving Her

May 28, 2011 02:30 PM by Shayla Perry

There’s no denying that the relationship between Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga, is strained (to put it lightly), but despite reports that her marriage is also falling apart, Giudice says that she and hubby, Joe, are doing just fine. So, haters to the left!

“Joe and I were just in Miami together for our birthdays, and we’re in San Diego together right now for my ‘Fabulicious’ book tour,” Teresa tells Popeater’s Rob Shuter.

So what started all the rumors about a Teresa and Joe Giudice split in the first place?

Earlier in the week, Teresa and her four daughters appeared on the cover of In Touch Weekly — sans Joe — with the headline “Fame Destroyed My Family.” In the article, Giudice admits that being a part of the Bravo reality show made the rift between her, brother Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa, even larger, and eluded to the fact that it also caused some trouble in her marriage.

But Teresa vehemently denies the magazine’s assertion that Joe Giudice is leaving her over fights about “money, booze and jealousy,” which is splashed across the cover.

As the Housewife says, “You’re not supposed to judge  a magazine by its cover,” urging fans to read the article in its entirety for proof that everything between her and “Juicy Joe” is going just swell.

Sadly, the same can’t be said about her relationship with Melissa Gorga and Teresa’s brother, Joe. In the magazine, Giudice claims that the couple became jealous of her fame (though she shies away from using the word to avoid “stooping” to Melissa’s level). Now that they’re members of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast themselves, Teresa has heard that her brother has been dragging out the family feud and even gone as far as asking his wife, Melissa, to speak out against his sister in the press, just for the media attention.

Adding fuel to the fire — Bravo! A source close to Teresa says that the network purposely played up the family drama for the sake of ratings, in an attempt to make up for the absolute train-wrecks of the Housewives franchise, D.C. and Miami.

So, to review…

Teresa and Joe Giudice — all good.

Teresa and Joe & Melissa Gorga — not so much.

Teresa and Bravo — fine, as long as the checks keep coming.
