Simon Cowell is making things a bit more interesting for the hopefuls of FOX‘s X Factor by now taking online auditions. After all the recent drama behind the scenes, this may be just the spark the show needs! So how can you audition? Keep reading for all the details!
That’s right, following the season of American Idol’s online auditions, Simon Cowell’s X Factor is now taking them as well. Interested? Today through June 9th anyone interesting in submitting an online audition, whether it be a group or a solo artist can do so by going to the site’s YouTube page at X Factor Online Auditions on YouTube. The only catch is that you must be over 12 years of age to submit your online audition.
In a statement about the online auditions, Simon Cowell said “I’m really happy we are launching auditions through YouTube. There is a lot of great talent online now, and especially young kids today are using YouTube to get themselves seen and heard. It’s very easy, and it is $5 million after all! I’m very excited to see the auditions that might come through this.”
Online auditions will be judged privately by the X Factor team and if your audition is one of the premiere group selected, you will be invited to audition live in front of the panel. Other details you should be aware of before submitted your audition are that the song should be done a cappella and the video must be 2 minutes in length, including a 30 second introduction. The intro should explain who you are why you think you have the “X Factor”.
Good luck to all those auditioning! Stay tuned for more details about the exciting premiere of Simon Cowell’s X Factor, set to debut on Fox this fall!
